Left/Leaving de Florianópolis foi formada em 2016 por amigos de longa data (Adriano Boaron, Joel Rosa, e Guilherme da Silva) compondo em inglês, com influências de bandas de Punk Rock/Indie/Alternativo que tiveram seu auge no final dos anos 90 e começo de 2000 como Hot Water Music, The Lemonheads, Jawbreaker, e Fugazi. Além dessas bandas, o nome Left/Leaving é inspirado no album Left and Leaving do The Weakerthans. Agora com nova formação, lançou seu primeiro disco com 11 faixas (2 instrumentais) e 30 minutos de duração, e com músicas com sonoridade variadas entre punk rock, alt-rock, indie, folk, post rock e etc… O qual foi produzido por Joel Rosa (Vivar, Backseat Window) no Estúdio Urbano entre fevereiro de 2020 e julho de 2024. Left/Leaving from Florianópolis, Brazil was formed in 2016 by longtime friends (Adriano Boaron, Joel Rosa, and Guilherme da Silva) composing in English, with influences from Punk/Rock/Indie/Alternative bands that had their peak in the late 90s and early 2000s such as The Lemonheads, Samiam, Hot Water Music, and Fugazi. Also, Left/Leaving name is inspired in The Weakerthans album Left and Leaving. Now with a new lineup, they released their first album with 11 tracks (2 instrumental) and a duration of 30 minutes, featuring songs with a varied sound ranging from punk rock, alt-rock, indie, folk, post-rock, etc. It was produced by Joel Rosa (Vivar, Backseat Window) at Estúdio Urbano between February 2020 and July 2024.
